Annika's Birthday

Doesn't she look grown up?  It's hard to believe it's been 6 years.  Annika's birthday fell on a Tuesday this year - just like the year she was born.  It made me reflect quite a bit on the happenings of 6 years ago - how I felt sooo uncomfortable on Thanksgiving Day, my doctor's apptmt on Monday and Annika being born early Tuesday morning.  God has blessed us in so many ways with such a sensitive, loving, so-excited-about-life and not-so-little-anymore girl named Annika.
Annika requested strawberry cake with white frosting and strawberries on top.  Grandma Pollack and Annika made a great cake.  Here is Annika trying to keep her birthday crown from falling off while blowing out her candles.  Priorities, right?
Just Annika being Annika. . .
One of Annika's favorite presents - pot holder maker from Aunt Lesley and Uncle Eric.
Annika loves her bling.  I picked this jewelry box up at a garage sale.  Fortunately, I looked through it before giving it away - the bracelet sporting the word "sexy" wasn't quite appropriate. . .
 More bling (see ear).
Annika loved making cupcakes with Daddy.  This time it was funfetti cake with funfetti frosting.  What 6 year old girl can resist the sprinkles?

The traditional birthday photo shoot with Ashley.
Trying out a new game of "Doodle Dice."  Let's just say that Audrey's presence made the game go quicker than is intended.
