The Big 7-0

Since my dad has a birthday right after Christmas (Jan. 3) I feel like he deserves his own entry - after all who feels like cake and ice cream immediately following the sweets and treats of December?  

 With age comes difficulty in opening presents.  Thank goodness for 4 eager-to-help granddaughters. 

 We have a tendency to splurge on birthday gifts - hence the vaseline lotion for men.  Dad had received a free sample and couldn't stop raving about it. 

 After we gave our card, Dad felt it necessary to get out his bear mask from a couple of Halloween's ago.

The evening ended with a game of large print (c1968) Old Maid.  The girls love it (as I did when I was a kid).  Happy Birthday Dad!  We love you!
