Pella Road Trip

My cousin Bethany married Peter in June.  We made the 5 hour trek (shorter than going to visit grandparents!) up to Pella and really enjoyed celebrating and hanging out with family. 

 The rehearsal dinner at a local park was a perfect way for the kiddos to get some energy out after the car ride. 

 A hotel with a pool was definitely a hit. . .swimming with cousins, though, was the greatest thing ever!

 You know Grandma loves you when. . .she goes swimming in the hotel pool even though she would never choose to do it on her own. 

 A perfect lunch spot in downtown Pella.

 Nothing says "home" like giant wooden shoes. 

 Downtown Pella is quaint and welcoming. . . and has great ice cream and dutch letters!

 The wedding and reception were all kid friendly - yeah!  The girls always love spending time with Aunt Helen (mother of bride). 

 Bethany and Peter - quite the handsome/beautiful couple. 

 Audrey and Sami didn't quite get the concept of throwing bean bags into the holes but they sure had fun.

 Great-grandma (93!) made the trek from Inwood for the big day.  It was the first time she met the twins.

 These lights were really cool and creative - made out of Great-Grandma's old tablecloths. 

 The girls waited all night for a chance to dance with the bride.  They were sooo excited to dance with "the girl in the white dress."  Thank you, Bethany, for loving on them!

 Annika is grinning from ear to ear as she dreams of her future wedding and getting to wear the pretty white dress. . .

We actually got to spend Father's Day with Grandpa/Dad - yeah!  We love you!
