Blue Lake Family Reunion

The whole fam.
Peaking in on the kiddos.
Many hands makes for a lot of corn for dinner!
Audrey enjoyed lots of Aunt Cathy time.
Who needs toys when you have cool trees like this one!
Sami says, "Hi!"
Annika and Alex were fishin' buddies.
"Big" cousin Danielle liked to lead Audery and Sami around.
Hanging out at the beach with Emma.
Annika was very brave!
It took a while for Audrey and Sami to enjoy the water, but by the end of the week they had lots of fun with Daddy.
The cousins spent time working on an outdoor museum. Here we are taking a tour, led by docent David.
We spent lots of time outdoors - including meals. It was great to let the raccoons clean up the mess!
Audrey made a beeline for Grandma whenever she spotted her. At least Sami still wanted to be with her Mommy!

Uncle Steve is showing everyone "the catch."
Aunt Cindy took 4 cousins fishing at the same time. Now she is VERY brave (especially since 2 of them were Annika and Lauren).
Climbing back up a tiny bit of the giant dune (no, we weren't quite crazy enough to go all the way to the bottom).
Sleeping Bear Dunes - Wow!

Just like the good ol' days - Jay and Steve in a ping pong battle.
Lauren had no problem watching Grandpa filet the fish. . .I'm not sure what that means.
We spent lots of time fishing thanks to the great weather.
We were on our own for breakfast and lunch, but came together as a group for delicious dinners.
Annika and Daddy riding the big waves of Lake Michigan (yes that is a surf board in the picture!).
The cousins took a rest along the trail at Ludington State Park - a place that holds lots of wonderful memories of summer camping when I was a kid.
Hiking my favorite trail at LSP.
Tree climbing!
Annika decided to run down the dune only to discover it's exhausting to come back up.
Lots of little kiddos (yes, I convinced my brother to carry Audrey for me - that's what big brothers are for, right?)
Sarah organized a singing group complete with original song entitled, "Everybody has a name." They went from cabin to cabin and performed. After each performace, they required a story from an audience member.
GIANT marshmallow from Uncle Jay!
Grandpa's turn to tell a story. I believe this one was Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby.

Boatride with Grandpa = big fun! He even let them each take a turn driving.

The playhouse was a big hit for the little ones.
Things got a little crazy in our 2 BR cabin.
ALL 11 cousins. Yes, there are 9 girls!
